My husband and I had never been to these ports, and this was also our first time with Carnival. We went in with open minds and the whole cruise exceeded our expectations.

Embarkation: We opted for Faster to the Fun, which was great and fast, however it was so fast that our room was not ready for an hour after what we had been told. Once we got in, it was great and room steward Casey took good care of us.

Our sixth floor balcony was clean and spacious.

Balcony

Cabin 8D

Good balcony. Good Room with plenty of closet space. No complaints.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

The port area itself is pretty nice. We did an excursion to Ocean World for the dolphin encounter. We did not enjoy the encounter because our dolphin wasn't trained well and it took way too long, we missed other things we wanted to see an do at the park due to the time it took for dolphin encounter. Opt for the Dolphin Swim if you want better dolphin interaction.
