We chose to sail on the Jade as the cruise was leaving from Tampa, less than an hour from home. The easiest embarkation ever for me. I traveled with my 24-year old niece, who is like a daughter to me and was visiting from the north for about 10 days. The food was great everywhere. The selection in the buffet pretty much stayed the same, but we didn't go there much anyway. Do not miss Cagneys! So relaxing, We were very excited about what the ship was going to look like, as we heard they were redoing it. It looks NOTHING like it used to. It is now classy and soothing ocean colors, beiges - subdued and lovely. We had MA mini-suite with balcony cabin #11544, which was so much better than the cabin we originally booked (obstructed ocean view on deck 8). I received an upsell offer from NCL about a month before the cruise for a jump from OK to MA for only $250. Of course, I could not say yes fast enough! The deck on a MA cabin is so much bigger than a balcony room. Plenty of space there as well as in the cabin. Storage was fantastic. The sink, bathtub, and toilet were separated in three sections and plenty big. The only thing in the cabin that was not great was the beds. They were old with huge dips in the middle, but the bedding was all new. We tried the sofa bed, but it was hard as a rock. Our nice room steward put egg crate pads on each and that helped.outstanding service, and the filet mignon and everything else we had was beyond excellent. Sushi bar is great - I think $7 upcharge - well worth it. La Cuccina was good, but not really any better than an Olive Garden's food or service - skip it. Plenty of excellent pasta dishes on the buffet. La Bistro was wonderful - again a very nice atmosphere and food. They had a mini "Cirque" production that we just loved. The entertainment in the bars was geared for a much older crowd, so don't expect much going on there. Attended the Hot White Party and it was fun, but a lot of very young children. The casino was very small, smoky, and not much fun. But we did manage to get a few good wins. We purchased thermal suite passes prior to sailing, and was the best money spent. We relaxed there for at least 1-2 hours a day. Nice sauna, steam room, therapy pool, hot rock beds, etc. Not crowed at all. Unfortunately, we found a lot of the crew to be unhappy and disinterested. We got lucky and connected nicely with our steward, a nice bar staff at the pool bar on deck 13, and the spa staff. Forget about any cocktail service on this ship at the pool. It does not exist. You have to stand in line - sometimes for 15 minutes - to get a drink. Finding a chair at the pool was a breeze. Chair hogs, but plenty of room for everyone. NCL should take Roatan off the itinerary immediately. It is dirty and dangerous. We had planned to go to Mr. Sanchos on Cozumel, but they were sold out due to all-inclusive reservations. I had never encountered that before, so we went to another beach and it was just fine. In Costa Maya, they have a great port right at the ship, huge pool, shops, restaurants - in my opinion as far as you need to go. Our favorite was Harvest Caye. The most beautiful, clean, and friendly place I think I have ever been. We enjoyed the beach, pool, shopping, ice cream, and just enjoying the atmosphere. They have fans everywhere outside that blow a cool mist. Lovely. Although I would cruise on NCL again, I would not book this itinerary again.

We enjoyed the pool, shops, restaurants right at the port.
Absolutely beautiful island.
Dirty and dangerous place.
We took a cab to a beach, swam, snorkeled, and had lunch. It was great.
