We choose this cruise mainly for the transit through the canal and the great weather. The cruise was booked approximately 2 years ago when suite guests still received two complimentary specialist dinning with we used in Qzine. This apparently has now been taken away unless you booked the very top suites? We used Qzine three times with the food being great on all occasions and the staff were fantastic. We only had dinner once in the main restaurant (just for a change) as well as Blu and could not fault either for service or food. As a suite guest on this occasion we used Luminae most of the time for Dinner, again the food was good (although I personally did not think as good as previous ships), staff were brilliant but service was slow at time...we waited nearly 20mins for somebody to take our order on one of the evenings. We used cafe el bacio all days, several times a day although we did hold back having the complimentary cake with every drink! The staff here work none stop and always have a smile on their face.
The suite itself is looking tired and outdated along with other parts of the ship...(great for sitting on the balcony and watching the Canal go past) but if Celebrity are going to keep these smaller ships some serious money needs to be spent as this does not reflect Celebrity's 5star image which you get on the newer ships! In fact we were speaking to a couple who normally sail with P&O who were really disappointed with Infinity and we did comment that the bigger ships are to a slightly higher standard as they are newer and that they should not take the state the Infinity is in as general for Celebrity.
Ocean view..absolute caous as usual you just have to time it right when its quieter...you'll soon work it out! - Plenty of choice as usual but again did not think quality was as good as the other ships we've been on. Dirty in places which is not good if your trying to maintain everybody health!
