The ship is HUGE!
Incredible dining staff in the Grande!!!

Wanted to experience a newer, larger ship. So we selected Royal Caribbean, being we had sailed on the Liberty 2 years prior. The ship is amazing! The state rooms, larger than average, and we had the virtual window which was an HD quality 'pretend' view of the outside. Really cool.

There are alot of people. I found the elevators were the toughest, so if you can manage the stairs go for it!

We liked the fact that now you have to wash before entering the Windjammer. Good proactive approach to keep illnesses down. The staff in the Windjammer are quick to pick up dishes, but slower to wipe down tables, which we felt was necessary to keep flow of people moving. Finding a seat at peak times is a challenge.

Interior Stateroom with Virtual Balcony

Cabin J

I was surprised and happy at how spacious the room was. The bathroom was a good size too. First night, wrong compass left; so we had to try and hunt down another one, so not to make the Guest services looong line. But we asked for wine glasses and an opener and Tracy made sure we had it quickly. Virutal window...awesome!

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

This is home, so of course EXCELLENT!

Nassau

A quick taxi ride to Atlantis is all we really had time for. Not enough time at this port to really make it anything other than a quick visit to Atlantis. Even there, if not a registered guest, you can't get around much. Felt rushed.

St. Maarten

This island is cute. Wish I would have taken an excursion here to visit the French side. Pretty much water taxi to main pier to shop. You feel quite like the cattle being led to the feeding ground., when approached by many, many vendors to sell you wares, hair braiding and chairs/umbrella rentals. Its all day long at the beach. They just peddle up and down. An excursion would have been a better bet to get away from the crowds.

St. John (U.S.V.I.)

Again, was it our bad not to do an excursion? The island looks a little run down. Went to Emerald bay for swim and lunch. Pretty location, but right next to an airport, so you will hear, frequently, flights taking off just about over your head. So it takes away a little from the 'island/isolated' feel. Reasonable price to rent chairs and umbrellas.
