We are an active, retired couple who have been on 8 Viking cruises over the past decade. We were on Viking Beyla for their Prague and the Elegant Elbe cruise in April 2017. We started in Berlin (2 days), then boarded the Beyla for 6 days to cruise down the Elbe River, and then spent 3 days each with Viking in Prague, Krakow, and Warsaw.
On the positive side, the service and food were superb, as is usual for Viking. Our standard stateroom was small, but was comfortable and clean. The evening entertainment and port talks were good.
Despite all that, this cruise was nowhere near as good as the ones on the Danube, Seine/Rhone, Mekong, or Yangtze. Why?
