This was our second Carnival cruise, and we were very pleased, despite the negative reviews. The ship was clean and very pretty, not gaudy like the Sensation was. Our inside cabin was clean and comfortable, as was every other part of the ship we were on. We were provided with clean towels, beach towels, and ice when we asked. Service was great!
The food selections have been cut back, as well as portion sizes, but I for one think that was fine. It wasn't like I intended to take home my leftovers. The food was very tasty, and served in a timely fashion. In this day and time, everything is going up in cost, and Carnival has managed to hold their prices down so that we can continue to cruise. In the past there was a TON of food to chose from, and now they do appear to be scaling back....I still could not have eaten everything they had to offer! Their new Guy's Burger Joint, and Blue Iguana Cantina were fantastic! Lines were never long, and we ate right away. The only long lines were at the pizza place, which we stayed away from anyway! There was no more Mongolian Grill on the ship, which was a disappointment. They offered late night snacks which were nothing to write home about,, but nice to have ( grilled cheese, hot dogs, small snack items). Drink offerings were endless...and waiter service always easy to find.
The shows were short and sweet. They Comedy Club was hysterical, and we enjoyed two different acts. Loved the energy of the cruise director and his staff. There was always something to do. There can be difficulty finding a chair on the deck on sea days, but for the most part we were able to find someplace to sit. Truly had a wonderful time. Do not hesitate to book this older ship. They know how to have fun!
We had an interior cabin on the upper deck which was near everything. LOVED this location, and would book here again. Room had plenty of space for two. Very clean.
We got off and walked a few clocks to the straw market and gift shops. Bought some beautiful silver. Nassau is kind on a nasty place.
Loved Half Moon Cay. Very clean and relaxing. Food wasn't that great, but it was OK. Really enjoyed our day there even though the water was too cold to swim in.
