My family of four - me (37), my wife (34), and our two boys (7 and 5) - just returned from a Western Caribbean cruise aboard the Freedom of the Seas. This was the third cruise for my wife and I, having taking our first with RC back in '05 and sandwiching a Carnival cruise in during '07.
We parked at the Port Canaveral parking garage around noon on Sunday, quickly checked our bags, and were ushered up the escalators to the check-in area. At that point, the line was very short. We literally waited less than two minutes before an agent became available. She efficiently checked us in and I'd estimate that within 6 - 7 minutes, we had filled out all the requisite paperwork, had our passports scanned, were given our SeaPass cards, and were on our way to the next queue.
We then had to wait in line at the gangway to have our pictures taken for everyone's SeaPass card. This was a bit of a lengthy process and I'd estimate that it took us about 30 minutes to proceed through the line, get our photos taken, and ultimately board the ship.
