This was a nice ship - Escape - and our first time on Norwegian. It was not as opulent as other cruise ships. The food was pretty bad. The three main complementary restaurants had a very limited menu, all three shared it, and it didn't change all week. We did go to three specialty restaurants. Thank goodness for the Garden Café or we would have suffered. The Argentinian steakhouse was super. The adult pool was quite small. The shore excursions were very nice. The slides for kids were super. There were pools for younger kids with activities. The on board entertainment was good. Every night there was a party at 10:00/10:30pm at the back of the ship, outside, in Club H2O. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly. Our cabins were nice - one balcony and one inside. We travelled with two boys - ages 15 and 17. They participated in the Teen Club Entourage and liked it. Basketball court was packed and very little space for soccer players.
A balcony room is always great. It was tight especially between the bed the closet. You could barely squeeze in between the two to get to the closet.
Got off the boat, walked to the end of the pier, and got a taxi for our family - $4 per person. Purchased the aquarium ticket and at the end walked out to the beach. Boys went in the lazy river. Beautiful!
The price was high for a ticket $42 and kids under 18 must have an adult. There must have been more as it seemed very short. What we saw was very nice. However, when it ended, we walked right out to the property and had our full use.
