To start off we had airport transportation with RCCL and everything went smoothly. The only hiccup was that the main highway from MCO to the cruise terminal was shut down due to a fatal accident & RCCL handled it well on their end. Embarkation was a little hectic due to the highway closure and everyone arriving at the same time. There were lines at security that went fast but check in was a mess. RCCL was having computer problems on & off and had to stop checking passengers in for a bit.
Once on board went to my cabin and it was only marginally cleaned. Sheets were changed & bathroom cleaned. Cabin was not vacuumed nor did we have soap or glasses in the bath. The rest of the cruise our cabin was perfectly cleaned and supplied by our steward Jacqueline. Maybe she had an off day? We had a large interior cabin on deck 8. The location was perfect. Just down the hall from Central Park and down 3 floors to the Promenade. The room is a little small but had a decent sized closet with shelves.
We had the early seating in the Silk dining room. Our server Ni at table 919 was a pleasure. We never had to wait or ask for anything. She got to know our likes & dislikes. It was also great to see her at breakfast 2 times too. The food was better than I expected. We also had breakfast in the Solarium & Park Cafe and had no complaints. The only complaint I have is that on the 1st day there was no real tea bags to be found on the whole ship (lipton, english breakfast or black tea). The dining room had english breakfast by day 2 but Park Cafe & the Solarium took 3 days.
