As a first time cruiser, this trip was amazing. The staff were outstanding in terms of friendliness, helpful and they would go out of their way to assist you.
An itenary is given to you the night before so you know whats happening in advance which was a good thing.
The food was o.k. Not spicy enough for me although they did have sauces available to you but it wasn't the same. There is however a variety so you were bound to find something to your liking. The chefs are very good at cooking something for your own taste so for example, I have a tolerance of egg so they cooked me a white omelette which was fantastic.
The cabin was very clean and quite small but you could work with it. There were lots of nooks and crannies of space to put your belongings even under the bed, in the mirrors and a washing line in the shower.
Unfortunately, we could not see the whole island nor visit the shops as it was Good Friday and they were all closed. This is a very religious island so please research the islands before booking. The shops on the port were open but of course they were very expensive indeed. The spirits were a good price though. This was a big shame as St Maartens is known for their shops and bargains and as this was the last island, we were all looking forward to spending some money. The cuise ship should have known this so why still put this island down to visit knowing it was going to be closed.
