Cruise was exceptional. Shout out to Dexter and Panwar in the Main Dining Room. Seeing them every day was actually a highlight for the family! We had had Dexter as a waiter the previous cruise 2 years prior, and he is the best, and Panwar was as excellent! Ship entertainment was even better than 2 years ago, and I understand the ship is about to go through a 21 drydock to do some renovations. Beautiful now, and sure even better when complete in May 2017.
Second time cruising on Grandeur of the Seas, love the ease of driving to Baltimore from an hour away, parking and instant vacation. Can bring much more luggage than if having to fly down to Florida, and don't have the added expense/planning. Although not one of the larger ships (Baltimore can't handle them), I've never felt lacking. Entertainment and activities were exceptional!
Would suggest that they have a plan B for CocoCay Bahamas. I understand this stop is missed much more than it's made due to tethering and swells making it unsafe to embark. That's understandable, but make a decision or go back to Nassau for another day. Would be appreciated!
Cabin was clean, had what we needed. Not in the room much but to change and sleep.
Went to Southbeach for a few hours. Played in the ocean. Take Uber -- less than half the price of taxis. Use lots of sunscreen!! We got burnt.
