I went on this cruise with my mother, my best friend and her mother. We got to the port a little later than I had planned, in general I don't feel like it took too long getting onto the boat and soon enough we were exploring the ship.
The ship was good. The layout was interested as you could only walk forward and aft on one side of the ship in the main areas. The casino was horribly smokey and the room was low ceilings which kept all of the smoke in. I probably would have tried to play craps but could barely stand walking through there to get the the theater. It was also odd that the atrium was kind of split into two atriums. It would have be nice if there was one larger atrium that give it a bigger ship feel.
We were fortunate enough to go on the Jade just after her refurb and I felt that the rooms were very nice. With the beds separated, it was a little hard getting back the small vanity, but nothing that couldn't be worked around. Paul was our cabin attendant and he was excellent!
We were second from the back on the port side. I have no complaints about the balcony location or any noise in this cabin.
