We have cruised many times before but this was the first Carnival. Picked this one because of the 4 day time frame to take our three Adult Sons on a trip before college started back. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.. Filthy OLD Ship...Bad Service. Cabin was below galley..Heard clanking of pots and pans and water running all the time. FOOD was below standard. HOT food was Cold and food that should of been cold was room temperature. They only served a lemonade and iced tea from machines. Saw the containers they came from. "Concentrated Lemon Drink" (what the hell is that) and the tea was like nasty water. I saw people steep tea in cups with lipton tea bags meant for hot tea and then pour over ice. I witnessed people going into first port and buying cases of top ramen to eat instead of the food. Overhead people talking about the bad food as we were. It is pretty bad when no one wanted to eat on the ship and we couldn't wait to eat in ports to escape the food onboard. One of my sons got food poisoning from eating breakfast before we left ship on the last day. It should of taken us 5 hours to drive home to Vegas and it took 8 hours due to having to stop at every rest stop so he could be in the bathroom!!

The cabins are OLD...Dirty..there were hair pins still on the floor from last cruise and filthy mirrors. My husband wore his flip flops into the shower because of the way the floor looked. Beds were hard bricks...don't know where the comfort beds are that they advertise. When we first got on board, we had one hour till our cabin was ready so we were told to eat by the pool. We sat there for one hour and this is no EXAGGERATION, BUT we had at least 30 carnival staff (didn't understand or hardly could speak english) try to get us to buy drinks that they have made up on trays. Once every other minute. I felt like I was on the streets of Mexico. The same staff would keep coming up and they had them spaced out walking in a circle around the deck about every 6 feet...Photography was just as bad. They tried to take your picture EVERY single night at dinner and had stations set up everywhere to take photos. NO package deals..just set prices of $7 to $20 a picture. Most of them $20 each! We chose the anytime dining. That was a mistake. If you weren't assigned to a regular table, they just put you wherever and tried to rush you to get the table ready for the next anytime customer. The food portions were tiny..but who wanted to eat more of that crap anyways...never offered refills of coffee...LONG STORY SHORT.......PAY MORE $$ ON ANOTHER CRUISE LINE.

I am sure there will be others who have a different take, but they either do not have anything to compare it to or have very low standards on cleanliness/food and service or partied too much to know the difference.
