We chose Royal Caribbean because of online reviews and our travel agent's recommendation on an excellent family cruise line. 3 generations of passengers: 2 grandparents, 5 parents, and 5 kids (12, 11, 10, 9 and 7 yrs old). We looked at a Disney Cruise, but it was twice as much money. I was impressed with all the variety of on-ship activities there were. I also cruised with RC 20 years ago when I was single/no kids -- I had a blast. Now as a mother of 2 and traveling with extended family, I was still blown away at how much fun we had (regardless of our ages) -- our group ages spanned from 7 yrs to 70 yrs.
My husband was a bit reluctant to go on this family cruise (arranged by my parents) - he had heard some horror stories of cruises. By day 2, he couldn't stop talking about how awesome the trip was. And each day was a unique and wonderful experience - either onboard and partaking in different activities: swimming, drinks poolside, spa, gym, flow rider, rock climbing, zip lining, shows, meals, etc, and much more....and then on the beautiful shore stops and excursions.
The ship is beautiful and very well maintained, and it's truly amazing to see how such a concerted staff keeps it all flowing so well despite there being so many people on the ship.
Beautifully maintained.... I was surprised at how much more room there was that I thought. Great beds -- we all slept so well. I loved the balcony!
Our stateroom attendant Wilfred was the BEST!
We flew into Orlando the night before departure, took Uber to Port Canaveral Sound morning and had a smooth, comfortable check-in process.
