Traveled with children

We have sailed Royal Caribbean before and always enjoyed the experience. The Harmony was an amazing ship - so much to do! Traveled in a family group of 13 with 7 kids ages 6-14 (4 cabins). Everyone has different interest and we were never at a loss for something to do. Kids enjoyed the kids camp (although since it was Spring Break week, it was crowded and at times chaotic). They also LOVED shipboard activities - water slides, abyss, shows, soft-serve ice cream anytime. The ship is run efficiently (embarkation and disembarkation went smoothly - especially since one of our cabins was a suite). Our main dining room experience was fabulous (6pm seating), the waitstaff was so attentive and the food was excellent. They were quick to learn what we liked (especially the kids) and customized the experience for us. We missed the first formal night in the dining room since we had booked specialty dining, so missed the souffle dessert. Our waiter found out that we were sorry to have missed it and said that he could arrange souffle for the following night if we would like. It was not part of the regular menu that night, but he got the kitchen staff to make special for us. They really took care of us!

Love the shows (especially Grease and The Fine Line), enjoyed a variety of other events - wine/beer tastings, character interactions, face painting, etc. The solarium (when kids were in kids camp) was fabulous! HUGE, with lots of chairs - we never had a problem finding 6 chairs together, no matter the time of day.

Cabin Review

Owner's Suite with Balcony

Cabin OS

Beautiful spacious room, with separate bedroom. There were 4 of us, so 2 slept on converted couch in living room, which was very comfortable. Plenty of storage - closet, cabinets, drawers. Large bathroom, with tub, separate shower, double sink. The balcony was quite large with table and 4 chairs, plus 2 chaises. Had cocktails on balcony several evenings with our group of 13 and didn't feel crowed. Very attentive cabin steward.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Arrived the day before and stayed at the Embassy Suites on 17th. Heavily used by cruise crowd, so very busy on a Friday night for Saturday departures, but convenient to airport, cruise terminal, and there are stores to pick up any last minute items before boarding. Nice pool with hot tub. We enjoyed an evening swim and ordered pizzas delivered to the pool area. Plentiful free breakfast with lots of seating. As you can imagine, the lobby was exceptionally crowded as we departed for the cruise terminal. We were lucky to snag seats on a bus that was departing as we checked out, otherwise plenty of taxis available for the short trip.

Labadee

Great beaches with plenty of chairs. Had to pay extra for floats, aqua park. Otherwise, everything included (drinks with our drink package), buffet lunch, beach chaises, shuttle tram back to boat. Calm, warm, clear water on protected beach.
