We chose this cruise because we could take our grandchildren (5) and our two daughters and husbands at a reasonable price. We all felt that the ship was beautiful but the food and entertainment could use some help. The main dining at night leaned way too heavily on Italian food. Understandably it is an Italian ship but Americans would prefer other choices every now and then. Also felt the quality could have been stepped up a notch. The entertainment was just so-so. We left after a few minutes of most of them. Way too much opera singing, not enough variety. Also there was no way to communicate with our family like there is on other ships. We could usually use our phone app for texting but not so on this ship. Overall it was a mediocre cruise on a nice ship that could have made it better for all of us if they tried just a little harder. We will probably go back to other cruise lines since they seem to have more Americanized food and entertainment, so to speak. Others might like it but not our cup of tea.
