I chose this trip after enjoying my trans-atlantic trip with Norwegian Spirit last year but this time there were a few problems. The main one being that the Epic is too convoluted and rest areas too small for the number of passengers. Nothing flows, every passageway goes through areas that people will congregate at i.e. casino, Shenahans, shops and picture gallery so you always end up asking people to move. Also there are not enough seats, we had one sea day when the weather was so bad everyone was inside and there simply was nowhere to sit down. I ended up back in my cabin.
Another problem was with the customer service staff who these days don't seem to want to give customer service. The only reply I got was "it is not company policy". I had to insist on talking to an officer before I was given a compromise which is all I was looking for in the first place.
Last general problem was the fact that if you wanted to join in any activity you had to be there an hour before otherwise there was no room. This was exacerbated by the fact that we had such poor weather on the crossing.
Unfortunately my sink was slightly blocked and the plug damaged so keep getting muck in the water that made me ill. Didn't notice until a large piece of mould floated up.
