Booked this cruise as a gift to my adult daughters for their birthday and Christmas. The timing was good with my job and gave them enough time to get that week off from their jobs.

Getting on board was quick and easy. The welcoming staff were knowledgeable and polite as expected. We went to the Windjammer and had some food and drink before exploring the rest of the ship. By 1:20 pm, we went to our room to drop off our back packs and take a short nap as we had been on the road since 2:30 am and were tired.

The Drill went smoothly and sailing away we went. Our luggage was on our floor but waiting to be delivered. I asked if I could just take my luggage and was told no, to wait for the delivery. Well,1 hour later, it was still there so I did go and take it myself. No harm done. Our room was 3011 and very very noisy & small. I think we were between the anchor and the engine room as that is how loud it was. I would never take such a low floor again for this reason. The hallway had the dryers going all day and night as they smelt of damp rugs and I am sure they must have been wet . The cabin lady that took care of our room was anything but attentive to us. Rarely did we see her. We left a glass with some OJ still in it outside our door, and hours later, it was still there but spilled over on the rug. The cabin lady knocked at our door to see if we were gone so she could clean up our room. (mind you, the glass was still there when we left for dinner) and not have to come back later on. We were getting ready for dinner so she was not able to come in then. She was just not a friendly person. Spoke with an attitude about my cruise being so cheap and what did i expect at that price....really??? I did report her in my review after coming home. We found a man's high top black nike sneaker under our bed along with a head phone set. What kind of cleaning is she doing if we are able to find these items under our bed that belonged to someone else??? I did not leave her any extra tip as I have always done in the past. Read more
