This was our 11th cruise, fifth on Princess. We are a couple in our late 60"s. We had a great cruise although some interesting events took place. There was a fist fight in the Princess theater over "saved" seats. Staff quickly responded. However the staff should closely monitor those who seem to "save" multiple seats.

Other unforeseen events included a passenger having a heart attack necessitating an unscheduled stop at Cabo on the way back. Past Cabo (upon returning) a crew member suffered a severe injury (possible head trauma) which resulted in a Coast Guard helicopter responding from San Diego to basket lift the patient as the ship does not have a helipad. Everyone on board was concerned.

Captain Tuvo was the skipper. He kept everyone abreast of all developments thus showing great concern. He is a very gregarious person who played in some of the ship's entertainment games. Furthermore he and his wife and young son were constantly going to and fro greeting everyone. This created a great vibe throughout the cruise.

Excellent cabin since it has a tub and sofa.

Port Reviews

San Diego

We took a trolley which we paid for on the wharf. It was an on/off tour of most of the city. We got off at Balboa Park. Very nice museums.
