This was our 32nd cruise but only our 3rd with HAL. It was a last minute booking and we took advantage of a FLASH rate.
We chose a gty veranda and were pleasantly surprised to be assigned a mid-aft located cabin #5130. The cabin & balcony were considerably more spacious that many other ships especially the newer Princess, RCCL and NCL ships. The size of the bathroom and the tub/shower combo was greatly appreciated. Since this is a connecting cabin, we were concerned about noise bleed-through but there was none. It was one of the quietest cabins that we have ever had. Thankfully the TV had a good selection of free movies so we weren't stuck with the dreadful Fox News and MSNBC. ESPN had the Masters and a couple of ball games.
The ship itself is quite nice with a lot of historical photos of HAL's early years but we found it easy to get direction-ally confused. More signage especially at the center elevators would have helped.
Convenient location, lots of storage space, comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, very quiet. Good size veranda but could have had a usable table rather than one at stool height.
The best beach of any cruise line's private island.
Expensive! Not much to see or do. Tendering is a bother for some people.
11am-11pm was too long for this this port since everything closed by 6:00pm when most other ships left.
We love this town and could have used a couple more hours there.
Very busy port with 8 ships in.
