We selected Oasis of the Seas based on what our traveling group wanted to do. I was concerned at the size and number of people on the ship and that it would impact the quality of the cruise. This was not the case. We booked all of our shows in advance as suggested and was able to attend each one. Not everyone in our group enjoyed Cats. At intermission, fifty percent of the audience cleared out. I enjoyed the show. All of the shows were the best I have seen on any cruise ship. The theaters were always full but the attention of the staff for bar service and seating was there all of the time. The staff was the best part of this cruise. I was totally impressed with their attention to detail and making sure that my experience on the ship was the best ever.
The food was good (not exceptional) and plentiful. The presentation was beautiful. My only complaint was the coffee in the dining room and Windjammer café. It was mighty strong! I would not purchase the drink package again because I found myself drinking because I paid for it not because I wanted it. However, I also drank a lot of special coffees/teas and bottled water and that would have added up quickly. I’m not sure if we broke even or not.
I was totally impressed with the boarding and debarkation of the ship in reference to moving 6,500 people. It was perfect and at no time did I feel rushed or crowded.
I was not sure I liked the cabin layout when we first saw it. However, the longer I stayed their the more I like it. It was an engineering marvel. Everything fit. It had the best bed ever and I actually loved the shower.
We shopped because we had too few hours in this port.
We went to Orient beach via a taxi.
We went to Coki Beach via a taxi. It was beautiful and saw tons of fish.
