We disembarked a few hours ago and were back in our home in Seattle by 9:30am this morning, Aug 21. I read most of the recent Infinity Alaska reviews before we left and just re read the newer postings before writing this so I wouldn't be repetitive.

This is my sixth cruise (second time to Alaska, went on Princess before) and my second cruise with my wife and two daughters, 5 & 8, their first trip to Alaska. We went on the Disney Magic a couple of years ago which set up some pretty loft expectations. I also talked my sister in law and mother in law who had never cruised before into coming with us. Although we are new to Celebrity, the choice was predicated on the availability of family suites or inter connecting staterooms since I wanted our kids to have their own cabin. We got two concierge class veranda rooms that had an interconnecting door since it was more square footage and two bathrooms compared to a larger family suite that had a privacy curtain that costs about the same amount. My mother in law and sister in law shared a similar room next door so we had three cabins in a row.

I agree with most of the earlier reviewers comments about the condition of the ship. It isn't brand new and has some wear but is mostly well maintained and I am not that critical and it suited us fine. The bath towels and robes were mismatched, thin, worn and threadbare. Pool towels were much better. The large portholes in public spaces needed to be cleaned better and more often. Lots of paint excess too, you would never see a dirty porthole on a Disney cruise.
