Sail Date: Mar 2017
Cabin: Concierge Class 1

After reading the reviews prior to the cruise we were very apprehensive of this cruise, how wrong we were. Yes the ship was older than others we have sailed on but the service onboard was second to none. The standards in the main restaurant was so good that we didn't spend as many evenings in the speciality restaurants as we have done on other ships. We had a concierge cabin and were very pleased with it, the service from our cabin steward looked after us well.

Entertainment wise, we don't go for the shows as a rule but really enjoyed the magician and the acrobats performances and the band at the Cosmos were good fun. We particularly enjoyed the silent disco, it was really entertaining and it was great to see so many people enjoying themselves.

Room service in the cabin for breakfast on early ports of call was much better than on Royal Caribbean.

Concierge Class 1

Great service, a little tired in places but spotlessly clean. The fruit service and canapes were welcomed and our steward was fantastic. Loved having access to binoculars when sailing into Japan in the mornings to get a closer view of the islands.

Port Reviews

Shanghai

For a pre departure stay we though Shanghai was amazing

Nagasaki

We had a private guide and loved the destination, for a port it is excellent with things to do within walking distance of the ship

Taipei (Keelung)

Again we had a private guide as we wanted to visit Jiufen as a priority (we are anime fans and needed to see the inspiration for Spirited Away). Totally fell in love with Taiwan the landscape from our tour was a welcome surprise

Hong Kong

Who couldnt love Hong Kong? We extended our stay and hit the beaches in the Stanley area as well as shopping in the city
