A cruise had been on our bucket list for a few years now, and when good friends of ours wanted us to celebrate their birthdays (wife turned 70, husband turned 80), we said let's do it.

We went to our TA and booked inside the 90 days, so paid in full, for flight, transfers and cruise. If I were to do this again I would book differently to be able to take advantage of the Free At Sea promotions.

Embarkation at the terminal was an absolute nightmare, it took 1 1/4 hrs to finally board, as either our cabin was double booked, or the previous guests had not been erased off NCL's system. Even at the end of the cruise, if you telephoned our cabin, the previous people's names came up.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Awesome snorkelling, saw turtles. Did Blackbeard's Castle which was interesting as well. Ate lunch near the port, really good food.

Nassau

Went to Paradise Island, ate at Dune, a restaurant at the One And Only Ocean Club, then went onto Cabbage Beach :)
