Our first journey to this part of the world will not be the most memorable from the cruise itinerary perspective. Too short visit to the classic City of Hong Kong and an absolute waste of time visiting Nah Trang in Vietnam. To arrive in Hong Kong mid morning, experience all the administration with migration [which we do understand; and which is almost certainly going to return to the UK] and then to set sail at 1030 the following morning under the pretense of an "over night" is stretching the imagination a little too far.
As for the port being some 55 Km from the town of Nah Trang is bonkers especially when the local transport shuttle was NOT on the quayside at docking time. Thank goodness we were docked in a Naval base with a bar serving economically priced beer!!
FOOTNOTE - Having completed the RC evaluation questionnaire this morning we noticed that any reference to Nah Trang was removed, whilst all the other ports were included. That will improve the overall score on their survey. Nah Trang was quickly forgotten by senior crew - VERY QUICKLY!!!!!!
OK well appointed although hard to find initially - couple of complaints were attended to in short time. King size bed was great but not enough space to move around it!!!
We were surprised that we did not get shown to our cabin on embarkation as we do on ships in other lines Companies. The Steward was one of the best we have had in 19 cruises.
The stay here was far too short on this cruise. There is masses to do and visit in Hong Gong and what on earth is the point of leaving at 1030 and calling off the shuttle bus at 0900.
We made a trip to Victory Peak via the tube train, bus and ferry on the way back. We would advise buying the day pass on the tube as this avoids all the hassle of having the correct coinage for fares
