I embarked from Sydney ( I live here ) and was impressed with the efficiency and speed of the boarding process. Although a fairly old ship with limited entertainment and activities, I would say that I enjoyed the 11 nights I spent on the ship, but after a while, because of the excess number of sea days, we ran out of things to do. We ended up doing the same things over and over. The nightly shows were commendable but a top class stand up comedian would have been an attraction. There was only one ice skating show. A second one would have been good. Main dining service was excellent but the daily menu was much to be desired as choices were limited and the quality and quantity pretty average.

Except for a few unsmiling, unfriendly and sulky staff, the general attitude of staff was acceptable. Some were excellent and I have commended them through their own website.

But, there is always something that will upset a cruiser and mine was the poor standard of administration of RCCL. Although it was my fault that I left some items in my cabin when I disembarked, I was quick to lodge a request with Intercruises at the Cruise Terminal and also sent off an email to RCCL customer service. On both counts, it was a wait and see what turns up at "lost and found", instead of actually directing the Manager and Room Attendant to check my cabin. Nothing has showed up after 2 weeks and I don't think anything will. So, my advise to all you good people out there, you can't fully trust the Management to do the right thing and be wary of leaving things lying around in your cabin. I have lost trust in RCCL attendants and if I decide to go on anymore RCCL cruises, I will not be overly generous with my gratuities.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

It was comfortable with sufficient space for clothing, etc, although suitcases had to be placed under our beds to allow us room to move around.
