My husband and I have been on the Oasis before for the same ports. This time on the Harmony, we brought 6 of our cousins. We had a blast together. You know when they say "the more the merrier"..that's definitely the case on cruises. When you go in big groups, crew members remember you, recognise you and make you feel welcomed. Our mornings would start with breakfast at the buffet. Funny enough we liked the buffet food for breakfast better than main dining rooms. Then we'd either get on the islands or entertain ourselves with the many on board activities. Absolutely loved the Flow Rider. Would recommend this to all age groups even though the line ups can get long. The staff at the Flow Rider was genuinely helping us learn to surf and was super friendly. The slides (wet & dry) are fun, but a little slower than expected. Rock climbing was pretty cool, you get a nice view once you reach the top and it can get tough. Food wise, it was okay. Wouldn't say it was the best food. I wish there was more flavour and variety. Pizza on board isn't really pizza. It's just cheese. That needs improvement. Night life, it was great! They had 2 silent nights, where you wear a headphone and choose between two channels featuring two different DJs on board. When you go with a big group like mine, you pretty much own that dance floor and the DJ will play your songs. We partied every night... we had to after spending so much on drinking packages. In terms of rooms and ship decor, I loved how modern the art work was, loved the colours, the theme was great. We had a balcony room, which we loved. Got to wake up to sun rise and watch the sun set. Get fresh air into the room anytime we wanted. My cousins had inside cabins, which were pretty nice too. So if you're on a budget, inside cabins are just as nice. You're spending most of the time outside of your room anyway!! Overall, this ship was good, but I would like to see more entertainment for young adults from ages 25-35 years. The crowd on board was mostly 50+ and kids. This cruise can get expensive when you're having to pay for drinking package (~$600CAD), then everyday service charge (~$20CAD/person/night), then for the speciality restaurants (optional). These things should already be included in the fee at the beginning of the cruise!! It should be like an all-inclusive. Cruises can be fun, but price wise too expensive.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D4

I loved how modern the art work was, loved the colours, the theme was great. We had a balcony room, which we loved. Got to wake up to sun rise and watch the sun set. Get fresh air into the room anytime we wanted. Beds were comfy. Our bed was made 3 times a day. The towels were changed 3 times a day, which was great!! My cousins had inside cabins with view to Park Place, which were pretty nice too. So if you're on a budget, inside cabins are just as nice. You're spending most of the time outside of your room anyway!!

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Nice port! Like the port out of Miami because of the view.

St. Maarten

Rented a few Can-Am spiders. So much fun exploring the island on our own. We checked out the airport beach. Way too packed there but it was cool watching the planes going over our heads. It is very hot and sunny on this island, so be sure to layer on that sunscreen, especially if you'll be riding on a bike! We checked out the beach by the port in hopes to do some jet ski, however we didn't have enough time.

Nassau

We rented a few scooters and just explored the island ourselves. Checked out a few beaches, stumbled upon a cave (which was cool), then went to Atlantis. There's a really nice beach there with huge waves. A lot of fun but can be dangerous. So watch out if you don't know how to swim. Also beware, you will have a lot of sand where the sun don't shine...
