We are Diamond Plus C&A Members in our 40's who traveled with our 18 year old son for his final HS spring break. Our son chose to cruise and Allure in particular, as he enjoyed the ship when we sailed on her as family approximately 3 years ago. My husband and I also sailed on Allure as a couple approximately 4-5 years ago.

We cruise primarily to enjoy each other's company on the ship and for the food experience (in fact, we did not set foot in the Windjammer or Main Dining room the entire cruise). As such, most of my review will be about food and beverage service...and most of the review is comparative to our past 2 sailings on Allure.

Although I have some unfavorable things to say, I want to be clear that we had a lovely vacation enjoying each other's company as a family...but my expectations of Royal Caribbean quality and service were not met.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D3

Stateroom was in good condition compared to wear and tear we saw in public areas of the ship. Bed sheets & pillows were a bit worn, but bed firmness was comfortable. Balcony had 2 chairs and small round dining-height table. Cabin attendant (Leonardo) was excellent - greeted us by name and helped us with the few small things we needed throughout the week. We always had the right number of towels & wash cloths after each cleaning (which almost ever happens!) and never had a single complaint.
