Hurry up and wait was the theme. Everything was filled with kids (hot tubs, gym equipment outside, mini-golf, pools, etc.) The adults would lock down all the chairs and you'd see towels there for hours and no people. The quality of people who take these cruises out of Galveston continues to drop. Got very tired of people with two plates of food bum rushing the elevator before you can get off, complaining to staff about the most ridiculous things, blowing smoke in the bartender's face at the casino bar instead of, I don't know, upwards (hardly anyone had any respect for fellow humans)...you've been warned. I feel bad for the staff who has to put up with these people. I will say we met some cool folks but few and far between. Our stateroom unfortunately failed too: fridge didn't work, no robes, the clothes hanger in the shower was gone, our door didn't lock unless you slammed it shut. The food was average to below Outback Steakhouse quality and our waiters were never around so we had to drink each other's water. Also had to listen to a sermon during brunch then listen to them complain about people drinking and cursing. Kill me now. I think we're taking a long break from cruising or at least Carnival/Galveston cruises. Our group of friends in our mid-twenties had more respect than 2/3 of these people.

Entertainment: If things weren't filled with kids, the older folks lined up 30-45mins before comedy shows, etc. It was tough to get into things. We only went to one stand-up show, unfortunately, and the guy wasn't funny even after drinks (this was the adults show too). The magician was weak compared to our last cruise where he disappeared, rode a zipline back to the stage, brought on a helicopter, etc. Our guy did the cup trick, guessed what you're thinking and all the other stuff we've seen a dozen times. So blown away by the dip in service, food quality, dull entertainment and respect fellow guests had compared to past trips.

Small, things didn't work and were missing. Just glad Junior, our room steward, was amazing.
