We found a really great deal on a one way cruise with Princess from Los Angeles to Vancouver over my kids Spring Break. I had gone on a cruise many years ago on another cruise line and was looking forward to being pampered with some great service and food. Sadly, I felt disappointed with much of the experience.

We were off to a good start. The ground crew was excellent in getting us through the checkin and boarding quickly and efficiently.

We had a mini suite on the dolphin deck of the Star Princess which was quite roomy for a cabin. The balcony had enough room for two chairs and a small table which was really nice for looking out at the ocean on warmer days.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

The mini Suite layout was very nice and roomy. There was plenty of storage and closet space. However, the room and the entire ship could use a complete overhaul. The bathtub was chipped. The patio chairs and railing on the balcony was a bit rusty. The refrigerator squeaked like a mouse trapped in a mousetrap when the ship was sailing through rough seas.
