We had a nice time on this voyage; no big WOW factor, other than the price we paid. We got a very good deal in my opinion averaging around $60/day per person.,This being a smaller ship though, doesn't really allow itself for WOW factors. Crew were great, the folks at the shops could be a little more pleasant, felt they just wanted to make the sale and don't take up too much of their time... but it was fine.
We had an inside cabin 4043, a touch small, but everything just fine and in working order; our cabin steward Duane was as good as they get.
Paul Rutter and his staff were good. They seemed to be enjoying themselves and trying to make sure the guests enjoyed themselves.
Small, but everything in working order; if more than two people don't know how you would manage storage space, but we manged fine for 2 people.
Probably one of the easiest embarkation ports I have visited; easily pull up to the porters to drop off your luggage (whether you are being dropped off, or driving in yourself); swing around to the parking area, pay for parking, either cash or credit, park your vehicle in the safe parking lot (I know it's safe as I forgot to lock my vehicle for our 9 day trip, all was ok when I got back), easy short walk to the terminal and the embarkation process begins.
Very much enjoyed this port of call; very walkable town, easy to take a horse drawn carriage ride on your own, many of the companies within a short walk of the pier. There are two tours available, but it is regulated by the town, so you pay for your tour, get in the carriage, then they go to a check point where the driver is issued a tag, and that tag determines which tour you will enjoy. (This is done to space out the tour and carriage traffic on the streets). We enjoyed tour #1 which was the Rainbow Row tour and mansions, very nice tour. I have heard regardless of which tour you wind up on, they are all enjoyable. City Market is very nice and a must see.and only 2 blocks from the pier. Had lunch at Sticky Fingers BBQ, about a 10-15 minute easy walk, VERY worth it!
Walked the pier; read a lot of reviews questioning why ships stop here, if your not much of a beach person, not much to do here.
