Found out on this cruise that cruising is not for us. If you don't like the food you are stuck. We tried 4 of the premium restaurants and they were anything but. At Murano one night they took what they called lobster and destroyed it by adding everything to it including dijon mustard. They also prepared a crepe for my wife with strawberries vanilla ice cream and a warm crepe. Sounds good right, then they added black pepper and balsamic vinegar to make the dessert inedible. Shows were mediocre at best, even the tenors of rock toned down their performance to match the crowd. Rock it was not unless you consider phantom of the opera and tears in heaven by Eric Clapton rock. Went to the sky lounge to have a drink and found it was closed to anyone except "elite" cruisers. This happened twice. Don't think about the pools unless you get up at 7 to reserve seating. Everyone runs there and throws down towels then the majority go to the Oceanview Cafe that we nicknamed the trough. All in all a very poor experience but a learning one. I hate to fly but I would rather fly to a destination and independently explore it for more than the alotted 6 hours than to spend the kind of money we spent for exceptionally poor quality. And if you enjoy being dunned by servers from the moment you order a drink to purchase a drink package to the point of them being rude then this is the vacation for you.
