We just got back from our week on the Escape. We wanted to try the bigger ship. I don't think that we will go on another big cruise ship again. One thing we noticed is that the ship is extremely packed with people. You are rushed in an out of nearly every activity even in the main dining room. There were some positives on this trip as well.

The one benefit to having a mini suite was the priority boarding. The room itself was not much bigger than a balcony suite normally. Get there early and make sure that you hustle to the dueling piano venue to sign up for the vibe beach club access. They only allow 70 people and it is well worth the $99. You get access to an exclusive area that has padded chairs, its own bar, fresh fruit and cold towels and cookies. It is quiet and you don't have to fight all the crowds. The bartenders are awesome and the waiters are fantastic.

Don't eat at Le Bistro, worst service and food on the ship. Three hours for a meal that is on the same par as the main dining room. We have sailed several times on NCL and have always loved this on other ships. Not here!! They longer offer lamp chops, they offer a lamb loin meal which is actually three tiny bites. We laughed when it arrived. It was actually entertaining to watch the plate being presented in front of other people, their response was comical. The teppanyaki was amazing. We saved this to the last night. So entertaining and the food was delicious. Excellent service and a great evening. The Taste was very nice and we got fantastic service. The manager was super nice to my grand daughter and even gave her several free gellato passes.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MC

Room was not cleaned very well. We even found a pair of shorts from the last people under the bed. A couple of nights there were towel animals. Bar was not restocked. Water not restocked. New pool towels were not replenished had to ask several times. For a mini suite you would expect these things to be automatic. Some nights the bed was not even turned down and we didn't receive the news page for the next day. Cabin had plenty of storage and as stated above was about the same size as a regular balcony cabin. The only difference was more space in the bathroom. I would have preferred more space in the room itself.
