Cabin: Large Ocean View Stateroom

Embarkation turned into a disorganised chaos when the gangway started moving.

The cabin was a good size but why no mini fridge or bathroom requisites. We knew from experience that the water in the cabin would cost more than a pint of beer in a shoreside pub so we declined it. Drinks generally were very expensive and the addition of an 18% service charge is a rip off. Inside this ship was very clean but omg outside this was the dirtiest cruise ship we have ever been on. We never saw a deck attendant for the whole seven days. Puddles were never cleared. There was sand on deck after a rainstorm and this was just left where it fell, as was the fall of soot from the funnel which contaminated the after decks and the passengers on one sunny afternoon. The sunbeds were filthy. We doubt they had ever been cleaned with the grime ground in to the plastic.

Excursion staff failed to deliver tickets booked for trips and this was only resolved by a frantic dash to the tour desk shortly before the tour was due to depart. Not a word of explanation or apology was forthcoming.
