We chose this cruise because it was the only RCCI cruise out of FL, that met our schedule. We are RCCI loyalist. While this is perhaps the oldest/smallest ship in the current RCCI fleet; it was still a quality cruise. The pluses outweighed any minuses. The pluses were the staff, dining, and activities. The minuses were the room (very small interior stateroom, with TV behind the bed). A couple of the entree dishes were not the highest quality that we have been accustomed to on RCCI previous cruises. The casino experience was the worst of the minuses. The blackjack dealer was totally unfriendly, and did not signal clearly when I was to give a stay or put on a blackjack game. Lost $10 right away. The casino attendants were not friendly at all, which is odd, given the tremendous profit center it is on the ship. Again, just to summarize, even when RCCI is not on their game, they are still pretty darn good. While we would not take this particular cruise again, we will likely take one of their newer ships for a more extended trip next time.
Smallest we had ever stayed in. TV was mounted behind the bed, so the only way you could watch tv in bed was to sleep upside down.
Snorkled after obtaining a day pass for the Melia resort beach. Good snorkeling, but Coco Cay had better fish populations for snorkeling, so save your money.
