I picked this cruise based on the overall price, the fact that it fit my criteria in terms of dates and the destinations. Also, it seemed like it would have a nice mix of things to do. Overall, I was happy with our vacation. I'm a single parent of an only child, and travelling alone with her presents challenges and concerns. In the basic ways Carnival got it right. We both had fun. We both made it home safe and healthy (with 5,000 plus people on board this obviously matters too). We will both remember this trip foundly. So, really no major issues and it delivered what I wanted. I just want to say thanks to the hard working staff. First and foremost a great value for all we got for the price.

The ship's layout was easy for my 12 year old and me, 44, to figure out. The ships decor is pretty cool, kinda dated, but still charming overall. The staff works really hard considering some of the crazy kids and confused adults they patiently endure. I never felt like the staff was nasty in any way. The staff isn't like the Ritz-Carlton, but when you look at the customer base it couldn't really be justified or achieved. I also feel like this vacation was a great value.

The thermal spa for $119 was worth the price. I got to sit in a really nice thermal tub and enjoyed the steam room a lot too. This comes with a locker and BIG shower. Having this spot to shower and relax is definitely something I'd recommend. The shower alone makes it awesome. So when my kid slept I went there and relaxed then showered for the day. Very good to have when you consider the size of the showers in your room.
