First cruise for both my husband and I. I googled a lot of reviews prior to going and found a lot of negative comments, so I was a bit worried. I found the ship amazing. I think the life jacket talk could have been done a lot better, it was very congested all together and couldnt hear properly due to everyone talking!! The majority of staff were absolutely wonderful. Our cabin steward "Ryan" was amazing and very attentive. The cabin was always clean. We ate at "Salt", "Waterfront" and the Pantry. I found other guests quite rude and obnoxiuos which put a dampener on the trip eg one 20 ish year old clicking fingers and "yo ing" for service,,, how rude, would you do that at your local club or restaurant? I also found the larger groups of people took over the ship, not allowing for others to join them, when clearly there were empty seats around them. I also heard a lot of passengers whinging about anything and everything... When moving back to the cabins, people should also be more courteous to other passengers and not have loud conversations and pushing and shoving each other into walls and doors!!! We booked 2 tours, one was cancelled due to insufficient numbers, however there are a lot of tour options once you get off the ship and many are a lot cheaper than what P&O offer. Santo and Port Vila were our favourite ports, locals were very friendly and they rely on the cruiseships coming in. Great places to see. Noumea was ok, although quite commercialised compared with the other ports. We met some really nice people on the ship and have become good friends. I think I would do another cruise with P & O as I could not fault the staff at all, just hope that we travel with guests who are not rude, loud and obnoxiuos.
Ample room. Clean. Heaps of drawers and hanging space. Safe is a great idea for keeping passports, money etc.
Not much to see or do at venue
