Great cruise for those who like to sightsee. As others mentioned, this is an older ship. However, it has all the amenities you'd expect and served our needs well. The pool area is quite small, but we weren't interested anyway as we were busy visiting all the islands! There is a waterslide area that the kids seemed to enjoy. We ate the buffet mainly rather than in the dining hall as we had a toddler in tow, and the food was good. Crew was friendly and other guests were pleasant. The port destinations are fantastic, and the ship docks by the towns in each one, which made it feasible to get good exposure to the local culture. Great value for your money. Old San Juan was shockingly beautiful and just steps from where the ship docks. Embarkation was smooth, disembarkation took a bit longer than expected. I went to two musical performances, they were decent, nothing to write home about.

As you'd expect. Size was decent. View was good. Easy access to elevators and buffet restaurant.

Port Reviews

St. Lucia

I booked the tour at the terminal. This tour takes you on a scenic route to a rainforest estate, which was a nice change from the usual beaches. I was impressed by the entrepreneurial spirit that went into this attraction.

St. Maarten

Walked the short walk to town, which was more developed than the other spots and pretty. Then rode over to Maho beach to watch the airplanes, very fun.

San Juan

So beautiful and walkable, fort is just 10 minutes walk away and worth a visit.

St. Thomas

The town is historic and pleasant. We took a shared cab to Magen's beach, which was lovely.

Barbados

We ended up walking to town and to Carlisle Bay, which took about 25 minutes each way. Town is a bit dumpy but lively. The beach at Carlisle had shipwrecks to explore, which was neat.
