For this cruise I was looking for a simple cruise for a few days away with the family to close the summer. We chose the Sensation for the simple literary and the water park.

I was very impressed with the condition of the cabin. It was obvious it had been stripped down and refurbished. New wall panels, carpet, bathroom and furniture. It was comfortable and surprisingly adequate for my family of 4. It was apparent Carnival stresses tight control of certain items to keep cost down. For example the family used up our allocated box of tissue and two rolls of TP into our second day. The staff made me feel lucky to get another roll of TP and I never did see a box of tissue during the cruise... I guess they felt my repeated request were unreasonable.

The public spaces were refurbished too. The ship shows its age in its stile, but it appeared to have new flooring and carpets. Some of the purple metal work needs help. It appeared they missed the elevators in the refurbishment. They are very beat up and show their age.

Ocean View

Appeared newly renovated. Beds and bedding was very comfortable. Bathroom was large compaired to other ships.
