After a six year break from Celebrity, we were very excited to return to Eclipse.
Our cabin, 1643, was conveniently located and our room steward, Raymundo, was super attentive with all our requests, always smiling and friendly. My husband is not a fan of Celebrity's round beds since he's 6' tall but we now bring a travel blanket for him and it solves the problem. I'm happy to see that the new ship "Edge" will have more storage available. The current cabinets over the bed storage seems like an afterthought and it's a little tricky for a height challenged person like me to access them. We love all the storage in the bathroom though and appreciate the shower door rather than curtain.
For us, the best perk of booking Aqua Class is dining in Blu. We've had great service in the past in the main dining room but Blu feels more intimate and less rushed. Both the service and the food were outstanding and we appreciated that they were able to seat us regularly with our favorite server, Mansour. An unrushed breakfast in Blu on our final morning was a nice send off.
Repair work was going on for a damaged "chimney" in the central corridor which we heard during daytime hours. This was temporary. It didn't bother us and stopped before dinner each night. Cabin is a short walk from the aft elevators, bed is near balcony and the balcony is unobstructed. We would book a similar cabin again.
Another beautiful resort and beach experience. A delicious lunch included and an open bar.
