Traveled with children

We were looking forward to this cruise for months as we had heard very positive things about it. We'd done Carnival before and loved it. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but positive. While boarding we received warnings from two separate Norwegian employees about taking our children to the arcade. We were told it was easy to rack up a bill of $500.00 or more by letting your children have their swipe cards (which they are issued but are attached to your credit card) to use there. With so much to do, why would kids be in the arcade long enough to rack a bill like that we thought? It turns out there is very little to do for children.

The sports deck was closed almost every day at sea because of inclement weather. The weather in question was a mild wind. This left you with almost no options. Kids could play bingo for $39.00 pp or head to the "board game" room which had several games with missing pieces that look like they were from the 1980's.

The kids club was an absolute zoo, completely disorganized, and overcrowded. It took thirty minutes and trips to several floors just to get them registered. Our kids tried it and said instructors we're yelling a lot but there were too many kids to enforce any real rules and children just ran around and whacked each other with dodge balls. Needless to say, they did not want to go back.
