This is our second cruise with Celebrity and I am not sure we will cruise with anyone else. Embarkation was busy but very smooth. Always kept moving and there were plenty of people to get you set up. The ship is clean, the rooms spotless. I cannot say enough about our stateroom attendant, John. This fellow did everything in his power to make our stay as wonderful as possible. I just wish we had him follow us on all of our other cruises. Very polite, supportive and did things before we even asked. Absolutely made our stay a "10". Choice of dining was excellent. There was the formal dining room as well as the Oceanview Cafe dining (more of a self serve). Both had excellent food, well prepared, always hot and plenty of choices. Again all the servers, waiters and bartenders were so genuinely polite. We played alot in the casino. What an experience. So many writers say that winning does not happen on the ship casino. We we have to beg to differ. Between my wife and I, we walked away with +$2000 in winnings. The dealers were from all over the world and were talkative and polite. Full marks to Ish, Dominico, Byron and Ruth, Dragos and Emma, Arvis, Hassan and Manager Ralph. We sailed the week after March break so there were very few children on board. This was a more senior cruise. Shore excursions were a bit pricey and the more we cruise the more comfortable we are in taking a cab to where we want to go. The entertainment on the ship was diverse. From comedians, to song and dance numbers to cirque to soleil shows. I think it covered everyones interests. If you are looking for "classy" and "comfort" in your cruise, this is the one to take. From both my wife and I, we would like to thank everyone for making our vacation a memorable experience.

Cabin Review

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

This is worth repeating. Our stateroom attendant was unbelievable. John was amazing in providing us with everything we needed to make this cruise memorable. Extra towels, shampoo, Ice water and orange juice. He had that room so clean, we forgot we slept in it. He was so genuinely polite. I would cruise just to have him look after us. The cabin was spacious, the bed was large with a comfortable couch. Plenty of storage and the balcony was large enough for 2 chairs, footstools and a large table if you wanted to eat in.

Port Reviews

Miami

Plenty to do in Miami but very expensive. Public transportation was plentiful. Visited Magic City Casino. Free shuttle from hotel to casino. Many locals which was fun speaking with them. Plenty of machines, no dealers. Also has a dog race track. Good fun.

Bonaire

This seems to be an island that everyone if trying to build up as a stop. Not very large but quaint. This is a place that snorkelers and scuba enthusiasts will really enjoy. Friends we met on the ship said that the underwater sites were breathtaking. They say this area is second only to the Barrier Reef.

Curacao

The ship terminal is very close to downtown. Plenty of sites, shopping. Watching the floating bridge moving and the ships moving in was an engineering feat. Visited the Renaissance Casino which was clean and large. Walked the pier, crossed the bridge and did a lot of picture taking. A beautiful place that we would think of spending a week at.

Aruba

Did not visit any beaches as the weather was not the best and we would be seeing many other beaches on our trip. Even the locals were surprised with the weather. We did more site seeing and visited the Alahambra Casino. Did not win but a large casino. Next day went the other way ( more downtown ) and shopped, dined at restaurants and ended our day at the Crystal Casino. Would have liked to done more, maybe next time.

Barbados

Infrastructure is very poor. Roads need a lot of work but once you get to your destination, amazing. We took a cab to Carlyle Beach. This place is one of the nicest beaches we have ever been to. The water was like soup, it was so clear you could see the bottom at any depth. Tropical fish swimming even at waist deep water. The beach is large with plenty of room. Never seemed crowded. A must see!

St. Maarten

Took a cab to Maho. Advised to get there early as we did. No one was there and we were able to get all of our pictures before everyone arrived and boy did it get crowded (around 1:00 pm). The beach is small but we all know we are there for the planes. Sunset Bar and Grill is a great place to watch the planes, good food and plenty of seating. They actually have the plane arrival and departure times posted at the bar so you will never miss them.
