The itinerary was the draw for this cruise. 29 nights around Australia. WOW it was great. Due to the length of the cruise it was mostly seniors and I only saw a hand full of kids. This was also know as the hop on hop off cruise because people were getting on and off every few days. The Sun Princess is a very nice ship and has some beautiful features like the center atrium of three levels with live music most of the time one one level or another but heard on the rest.

Buy the 15 drink coffee card for about $36 AUS to be able to get brewed coffee for free because the restaurants use coffee concentrate.

But I think some of the improvements that were made were less than useful. There are two specialty dining venues. One a Steakhouse with some amazing steaks but the restaurant is located in one side of the buffet restaurant with only some partitions to separate you from the buffet crowd - at $39 AUS each. Not worth it. Even worst is the Share restaurant were the tables are on the path to the casino. All this for $49 AUS each. Stick with regular dining. The food is good and much better atmosphere. I forgot there is another pay as you go sushi restaurant again just off of a walk way. Didn't try it. I am sure the food is good but why pay more. Read more
