We wanted to try out a large ship, and Harmony of the Seas did not disappoint. It was not too hard to figure out the ship layout. I was hoping to buy my two carry on bottles of wine at the dock. But there was not anywhere to purchase as past cruises. We did not care about the ports, as we have been to each of these stops several times before. The Royal IQ is a great tool for a ship this large to communicate with your traveling buddies. I liked that you had to use your seapass to turn on the lights. I always knew when my card was! I was not sure if l liked the idea of booking shows ahead of time. But once on the ship it helped make it a true vacation that I did not have to think about what I was going to do. Of course, it was no problem if you changed plans. The entertainment was great at all the shows. The shops on the ship were too upscale for my taste. Not all cruisers are wealthy. Don't waste your money on the Kitchen tour that is offered on a sea day. Only spent about 15 minutes in the kitchen and then another 1.5 hour being served the lunch. Time on vacation is too short to waste. Charging $2.50 for popcorn at shows & movie is tacky! The Ultimate Abyss is very fun, do it as soon as you board the ship, The rising tide bar and the bionic bar was not exciting. They both moved too slow. It was a great vacation and glad we traveled on the largest cruise ship in the world.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D8

This was a wonderful cabin, not too far or close to the elevator and steps. Larger than usual balcony because of the higher price cabins beside it. The shower was larger than the older/ smaller ships. Plenty of space to store suitcases under the bed and more storage for clothes that other ships. I liked having to insert the seapass to turn on the light. (I didn't loose my seapass in the room) The best feature was that the storage door can be opened so the bathroom light will not shine in my eyes when hubby when to the restroom in the middle of the night.

Port Reviews

Labadee

Great relaxing day . Don't let the vendors scare you, They are very polite, but work hard to get your attention. Just be polite back and say "no Thank you" . If you want to look at their things, remember that dealing with the price is expected.
