Sail Date: Mar 2017
Cabin: Inside Classic

We chose this cruise as it was extremely good valve for money. We secured it through Groupon and flew from Gatwick to Nice. Transfers smooth and on arriving at the ship our bags were whisked away and placed outside our cabin, let the fun begin!

The ship is very ornate and the interior decorating a little offensive to those who like colour co-ordinated surroundings! However it was clean and the cleaning staff kept the whole ship slick and span.

The waiter dining was good but could be a bit protracted in the evening's (we went for the early sitting as the 8 30 could mean queuing) As we got acclimatised we went to Deck 9 for meals as these are buffet style which was more to our liking. You get to see whats on offer and it was generally very good. One gripe of mine was the tomatoes! They weren't the lovely rich Italian ones, supermarket bland!

Cabin Review

Inside Classic

Cabin IC

Our cabin was surprisingly spacious! Lots of drawers and hanging space, well decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and big. The cabin felt like a little cocoon, it was extremely quiet and in all a most pleasant place to be.

Obviously we would have liked a cabin on the outside (these looked wonderful) but it was out first cruise and done on a strict budget so inside it was, no complaints there at all. Except tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice.

Naples

Beautiful place to visit. Would have preferred not to go to the Lemoncello factory but most of my fellow travellers enjoyed it and it did have wonderful views over the bay of Naples! Sorrento and Amalfi coastline stunning g.

Palermo (Sicily)

Unfortunately my sister was poorly missed seeing Palermo. However I did venture ashore and ended up in a new patisserie along the first block of sho p s you come to on exiting the port gates (go right) they had been open a week and were charming! So much so I had my picture taken with them behind the counter!!! Might think about a working holiday there!0

Malta (Valletta)

Wonderful, must go there for a holiday as so much more to see.

Barcelona

What can I say about Barcelona! Love it that's what! We did the hop on /off bus - great way to see the sights. Can lead to long waits to get on at peak times but my advice is to stay on all the way round once them get off at the place you most want to visit. Beware of viewing schedules at Gaudi s cathedral.

Marseille

Another hop on off bus trip. Lovely place, another to return too.
