The double occupancy capacity is 4,266 and this sailing had 5,050 passengers (with even more expected the following week). The pool is completely inadequate to handle the demand and is no bigger than that of ships with half the passengers. There are only 2 hot tubs near the pool and the adult one was impossibly crowded every afternoon. The hot tubs on Deck 19 forward have weak jets that don't produce bubbles. I was told this is how they were designed. Why? This should be fixed.
I had an inside cabin, 13643, near the aft elevators. The location was convenient and the room had a contemporary design. However, it was the smallest room I've ever experienced at sea. Instead of a sofa or at least a desk chair there was only one cube to sit on and no drawers--only limited shelf space. Pack light!
Like the atrium, the theater is more functional than elegant. The seats weren't particularly comfortable but had excellent legroom. The After Midnight show was outstanding--the best entertainment I've seen at sea. The other show, For the Record, was long and the music and story didn't interest me. It seemed that the entertainment budget was watered down by having the performers from the comedy club and the supper club repeat their shows in the main theater. Other cruise lines book guest headliners for the theater when there isn't a production show in the theater. Why have a comedy club and supper club if the entertainment is duplicated in the theater?
