We wanted a smaller ship with less people. What we got was a ship with few verandas and more interior rooms. It looked like way more people than 1400. People without verandas were in the public places most of the time. If you went to lido for a meal, forget about finding a table. Also, four top tables were usually occupied by one person reading a book.
The very first thing I noticed when entering my Neptune stateroom was how cheap the cabinets looked. Although, there was more than enough space for clothes. The room stewards were beyond awesome but the room was outdated, shower curtain was tooo small and it seemed there was always toilet issues on this ship.
Walking around the ship offered many unpleasant smells. From fresh paint in the hall ways. Musty smells throughout the ship especially in the movie theater where the seats felt sticky. Aft on deck three smelled like a sewage treatment plant.
outdated, sloppy paint jobs ..dirty, broken and sunbleached veranda furniture
Sunday, bad day to be in st maarten
Nice to walk around town
