Flight delayed out from Glasgow.Booked in premium on 767 300.Premium cabin as expected,Arrived Dubai(The smaller airport)Through customs fairly quickly, and then the problems began.Airport very quiet.Only one other flight from Birmingham.Got chatting to a lady from Solihull who told me she'd been waiting since 0900 for her luggage time now 1115.Cases were very sporadic, two would appear then nothing for ten minutes.Carousel stopped at 1125 and around 12 couples without luggage.Ironically it was the passengers who had paid for premium service. After a lengthy discussion with terminal staff,we exited the baggage hall at 1515 minus luggage. Great start Thomson after 8 hour flight.

Embarkation process quick( probably due to all others onboard).Guest relations team went into well rehearsed mode, stating it wasn't their responsibility,as our gripe was with the airline.Im sorry Thomson, the Tui group i.e. Thomson, First Choice and Falcon are your responsibility.We were told cases could be still in Glasgow, or could be on their way to Manchester,as they could have been left onboard at Dubai ???No communication no answers.This is the Thomson way.

We were eventually awarded £50 per person onboard spend to get some essentials.Having booked dinner in the Burj Kalifa (who enforce a strict dress code) I guessed jeans, trainers and a hoody wouldn't cut it. Cancelled dinner.Shirt cost £64 in shop onboard.So didn't buy.Went to cabin 054(Sir Robert Scott suite.) Clean and roomy although a tad dated.Ate at buffet and off to bed.Luggage arrived at 0910 next morn(apparently they'd been off loaded in Dubai and forgotten.) Read more
