We gave cruised 8 times. This is our 4th RCCL cruise. Last year we cruised on the Allure of the seas and we were blown away. This year, we did the Harmony and were blown away, even more.
We stayed at the Hampton Inn Lauderdale Airport North Cruise Port, on SW 12th Ave., a straight run to the cruise port. We could leave our car there and take the shuttle over to the port for $12. They picked us up, on time, and we were at the port within about 5 minutes. Our check in was very fast and we were on the ship, in no time.
We hooked up with the Royal IQ, so we could make our dinner reservations, excursions, and find lots of information. It's FREE! You are on the Royal WiFi, just for the use of the IQ,
Cabin Review
Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony
Cabin size was good. Layout was the bed closer to the balcony. Plenty of storage space. Bathroom was nice sized. Shower wasn't as compact, as others I've used.
Tha balcony was nice sized, two chairs with ottomans and a small cocktail table. Nice unobstructed view.
Our cabin was on the same deck as Central Park, so we used Central Park to navigate from one end of the ship, to the other to the banks of elevators, depending on where we were going.
Port Reviews
Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)
Best embarkation and debarkation we've ever had. Could have been lucky, but I don't think so.
Labadee
My wife got off the ship to get a few things, but said it was hotter than she had thought. Said the clerks were a little pushy.
Falmouth
Shopping area was right by the ship. Very clean and the clerks weren't pushy. Most were very friendly and helpful (what you'd expect). There was a Margriettaville Restaurant there, but we didn't dine at it.
Cozumel
My wife said the salespeople, at the shops, were pushy and they seemed to get upset if you looked at other shops. Most carried the same items and most were very crowded. Hard to really look at anything.
