First time on the Regal Princess and it is a beautiful ship. Having scoured the CC boards for a year prior to this cruise, I knew what to expect. I did not like that there was no promenade. I enjoy that on the other ships. Not a total deal breaker, but it does make a difference. I did not like the jogging/walking track either.

Overall we had an outstanding cruise. The weather was gorgeous all week. We had an outstanding room steward as well. Service in general was very good. We really enjoy princess cruises. The food was very good in all venues. I wasnt as impressed with alfredos as most have written. However it may have been an "off" night for us. I'd give it another try.

embarking and disembarking went very smooth. The only gripe I have is the process for reserving chairs in the sanctuary. Very annoying to have to run up there immediately upon boarding the ship. I dont know what the answer is as to how they should do this process but it was a mess. We were maybe 20th in line and luckily got the last 4 chairs in the sun for all 3 sea days. Luigi was the best though in the sanctuary. We had a group of 6 that thought the sanctuary was their personal balcony and continued to talk loud and yell across to each other the full 3 sea days. We finally said something to Luigi and he took care of it for us. If people are not aware, the sanctuary is suppose to be quiet. hench the name sanctuary.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin ME

This cabin is outstanding. We did have some windy days but overall it was the best cabin so far on all our princess cruises. Its the one on top of the bridge, so its HUGE. We actually chose this for the views as you can look down the side of the ship and then out front as well. I did get lucky in that I booked this cabin before it became club class. I did

receive the cc perks but only paid the previous fare.

Port Reviews

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

we did the swim with the dolphins at ocean world. It was outstanding and I highly recommend this excursion. You actually get to do more than just pet the dolphins, it was really fun. The guys running the excursion were awesome and so were the trainers.

very friendly and personable.

St. Thomas

We chartered our own boat from st thomas. We have done this previously and its the best way to see more islands like st john and then remote places to snorkel. We

chartered wreck life boat excursions captain Walter was the best!
